WHAT IS A SHOP HOP & HOW DOES IT WORK?
A Bead Shop Hop is an organized event in which area stores open their doors to participating shop hoppers (or participants) over a specific amount of time. Most Shop Hops are from 4 - 8 days in length. The Bead Shop Hop 2010 is over 2 4-day weekends in September 2010.
Each participating bead store will promote the Shop Hop to their customers by registering them when then purchase their Passport booklet. The Passport booklet consists participating bead store information along with valuable store coupons from the stores and local restaurant. The Bead Shop Hop is also promoted via Press Releases to local events and papers as well as clubs.
When a store's customer purchases their Passport they are ready to participate. The passport will have a page where they will have stamped showing they visited the store and are eligible for the drawings.
During the event, participants will visit some or ALL of the participating stores and receive a FREE gift, take advantage of the make and takes, as well as receive a discount on their orders.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO PARTICIPATE IN A SUCCESSFUL SHOP HOP?
Be ready for FUN! There are only 3 simple things you need to do to have a successful shop hop.
1.
Register at your local participating bead store
2.Plan your route
3.Visit the stores on your route and turn in your passport confirmation page at the last store (this will make you eligible for all the prize drawings!)
You will also want to plan on checking out the area restaurants and see what they are offering all those who are participating.
WHAT WILL IT COST ME TO PARTICIPATE?
As a store owner the cost is minimal. You will need to register and someone will contact you with the information.
As a partcipant the cost is time, transportation and a small registration fee of $5. You will register at a local bead shop. Registration gives you a passport, a gem bag, and FREE gifts from every visited store on the route. By the end of the route you will have supplies to make a customized item. Ask you local participating store for more details.
The passport booklets are stocked full of information, directions, coupons, restaurants near participating stores, projects and more!
